Massage during any stage of pregnancy is a wonderful addition to overall prenatal care. Massage can be beneficial for relieving stress as well as the normal discomforts of pregnancy including low back, neck and shoulder pain.
Swelling in the arms or lower legs and ankles may be relieved by manual lymph drainage, a safe and non-invasive technique that encourages lymph circulation.
Your comfort is ensured, as soft pillows support you in a side-lying position. Scent free, non-allergenic lotion or coconut oil is used for the massage.
After baby is born, massage can help with relaxation and muscle tension, and therapy is available for breast discomfort or mastitis. We can also teach you how to massage your infant, which may provide both physical and emotional benefits for both baby and parent.
